This year,
the Earthquakes were a joy to watch. We watched every game, we went to too many, we cheered from a room full of people wearing blue Lenhart wigs during the playoffs, and yes, I have my own blue wig. One thing I loved about this years team and their crazy effort, was that they seemed to leave it all on the field and they looked like they had fun doing it. Their dedication to the team as a whole and do their fans was something I have never really witnessed before. We would get to the game early and watch the practice, the fans would cheer and the players would wave and smile, genuine grins erupting from their focused faces. After the game was over, they would give us a wave and often, especially Wondo, go for a long walk around the stadium, signing things and high-fiving the ultra-fans (literally referred to as the 'ultras'). It was a blast, I loved every minute of it and I cannot wait until next year. I was, and am, so proud to be a fan. Keep it up, keep it up.
